OT: night races

Coming from a very anal type R owner, I give respect to SVP for putting up with all the shit that gets spread about them. Yeah they can be very rude at the races and only the R runs 90% of the time, however they are the only team their willing to put their balls on the line to race. If you ask them anytime to race they most likely will pending on your car. People say the use NOS (which is a lie, people say it has a hidden turbh, which is also a lie, etc...) Also the newest thing is they spray a chemical on their tires before they race. Its said they have hidden injectors in the wheelwell area the spary a chemical that melts the rubber to help with the launch! LoL Anyway I saw it with my own eyes run a 12.755 3 times in a row in Sac on Jan 7th. You can call my shop and ask Lawerence or Dick about it. We were all blown away. I talked to a member of SVP the night before and he said it would hit around 13.2-12.7! Talk about dead on the money. Especally since their last recorded run was a 12.4 or 12.6! Anyway I also saw it race your firends Firebird, along with another firebird WAY before that. The one with the suspossed NOS was raced at least 6 times. 2 or the 6 were a close to a tie. The other 4 the R won.
Anyway, everyone here knows I will call BS on any type R number/record/mod/etc... that sounds fishy. The SVP R however is for real. Its hard for me to give props to a team that turned a "track/turning" car into a "drag/no-turn" R, however this team deserves the credit for making a amazingly fast R.

Hey Silvano,
I didn't know you were still here!
Do you go to the runs anymore? I would love to meet up with you guys sometime. Or just look for me. I'm normally in a type R everytime I go. Just look for us, or look for M motorsports (drak purple M3 and ML55).
I will probally go going this Friday night and not Sat (Gotta get rest for the ITR meet in Oakland).

I was at Texas Heat Wave in Austin (car and truck show) and some idiot in a brand new Camaro SS that daddy must have bough him was lighting his tires up getting sideways, then lost control, went through a fence and slammed into custom full size chevy... I wanted to cry for the truck owner

But thats how life goes... the few stupid ruin it for the rest of us.

I'd just like to clear the air here for that SVP Type R. It raced my friend's LS1 3 times and lost each time. The LS1 has NO NOS, NO Turbo, NO SC and no heads/cam. He had full I/H/E however. I was told the car doesn't run consistant times nor can he do that 12.xx on street tires. The funny part is that they said he didn't have street tires on the last race. Shrug, that group has known to be a bunch of jerks AND lie about their mods so f'em. I got more respect for tons of others on this board and in the Bay Area. Too bad I gave up on my Teg or I'd hve shown him what a fast Integra really is =D

I've seen that SVP R run a 13.7 Sac raceway a few months ago. I think he has a sticker that claims 13 second all motor. Hummmm.......
